Until There's A Cure: Policy Development / Research Grant Application Information

Until There's A Cure Foundation supports policy research aimed at examining HIV/AIDS policy issues and the effectiveness of policy implementation. The Foundation does not advocate and does not fund education aimed at advocacy for or against specific policies. The Foundation does not fund advocacy programs and/or advocacy training/educational programs.

Considerations in applying for a policy development/research grant:

The proposal must:

Include a specific need or gap in policy related to HIV/AIDS
Describe proposed methods of addressing the policy gap
Include a framework for building acceptance and achieving implementation of the proposed policy

Downloading a Policy Development / Research Grant Application

We have simplified our grant application process by providing an application in rich text format (RTF). You can download the application file, save it on your computer, and complete the application form at your convenience, using any word processing application that supports RTF (such as Microsoft® Word, WordPerfect®, and Adobe® FrameMaker®).

To ensure that your application will be considered in the granting process, please follow these guidelines for completing the application form:

Use the application form's pre-set layout and styles.
Use font type ARIAL and font size 10 in the answer boxes
Use the allotted length of the answer box spaces for your answers.
Stay within the allotted two pages of the application form.

Helpful hint: Use your mouse or arrow keys to navigate to the next field or text box instead of using the tab key. If you accidentally create an extra row or box, use the Undo function to correct the error.

Policy Development / Research Grant Application

After completing the application:

Prepare your grant application packet as follows:
- Print five copies of your completed application.
- Prepare one copy of each of the following documents:
  - Evidence of your organization's tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3)
  - Detailed line item budget for the program for which you are requesting funds (with a one- to two-sentence justification for each item)
  - Your organization's overall operating budget
  - Your organization’s non-discrimination policy statement regarding clients and services

Send an email message with your completed application form only as an attachment (Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) file only) to to notify us that the complete grant application packet is on its way.

Until There's A Cure must RECEIVE your application packet AND email no later than July 11, 2008.
